Hex Surgical EQ
0.1.0
The first Mac beta. Free to try, with room to grow.
What’s included
- 24 parametric bands with stereo, mid, and side routing.
- Bell, shelf, cut, and notch filters; pre/post spectrum analyzer.
- A/B comparison, presets, undo/redo, and optional soft-clipping colour.
- AU and VST3 for macOS 12+, packaged for Apple Silicon and Intel.
Beta limits
The installer is not Developer ID signed or notarized. macOS may require explicit approval. Apple Silicon AU validation and REAPER VST3 checks passed. Logic loading, Intel runtime, clean downloaded-Mac installation, and extended DAW testing remain pending. No Windows build is included.
Colour is a non-oversampled soft-clipping effect and is off by default. It may introduce aliasing at higher drive. Use it to taste.
Source and licences
The combined JUCE plugin is distributed under AGPLv3. Original Hex source retains its MIT notice. The installer includes corresponding source and licences; keep these with the release when sharing.
